G3A&WR – A New Dimension of Weaponry in Gothic 3

Looking for a way to breathe new life into the world of Gothic 3 and give it the epic touch of Middle-earth? Then G3A&WR (Gothic 3 Armor & Weapons Rebuilt) is the mod for you. It completely overhauls weapons, helmets, shields, selected armor pieces, and item icons – bringing a fresh and immersive visual experience to your game.

⚔️ What Does the Mod Offer?

G3A&WR is one of the largest equipment collections ever made for Gothic, inspired by the legendary universe of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Whether you're a fan of Rohan blades, Gondorian helmets, or the dark elegance of Mordor – there's something here for every adventurer.

The mod replaces a total of 78 different items and icons (excluding duplicates), significantly enhancing the visual appeal of your inventory and gear.

🛠️ Installation

Installation is simple:

Just extract the archive into your Gothic 3 game folder, and launch the game as usual.

⚠️ Important Note

This mod modifies and enhances content not only from the base Gothic 3 game, but also from the following popular mods:

Lively Towns
Knight Chronicle
Content Mod
Pirate’s Dream
Conquest_Swords&Dragons (specifically the “Dragonstorm” sword)

To experience the full range of G3A&WR content, it is highly recommended to have these mods installed.

🧱 About the Creation Process

The models and textures used in this mod were:

Created entirely from scratch
Or based on free assets from platforms like Sketchfab
And inspired by projects such as Gothic Weapons Rebuilt and Skyrim mod content

Most of the base items were overhauled from UAWR, with additional content borrowed from Lively Towns and Knight Chronicle – making sure no quality asset goes to waste.

"This mod took a long time to make and came with many challenges – especially due to limited information and other obstacles. I’d like to express my deepest thanks to all the creators and community members who contributed materials and inspiration.

This modification was created by the authors of the largest and most widely used texture pack for Gothic 2: New Balance – Ultimate Armor and Weapon Replacer. You won’t find this pack in the Gothic 3 section, but since it’s a texture pack, you can find it under the texture packs and visual overhauls section at the top. There, you can download the pack and browse through the gallery.
