Gothic 1: Othello Mod - Update 4.3 (14.9.2025)


Fixes:

  • Removed duplicate line for one-handed & two-handed weapon values,

  • Drax now correctly has the dialogue about learning trophies after completing the quest,

  • Weapon: “Enhanced Scythe” no longer gives 3 HP per kill,

Spell: Healing:

  • No longer nullifies mana points if the player didn’t meet mana requirements,

  • Can now continue casting even if the player has full health,

  • No longer gets stuck on a single tick if the player had exactly 30 mana points (the exact amount the spell requires),

  • Improved wind support for DX11,

  • Fixed sleeping NPC reaction to sneaking,

  • Fixed Crack’s dialogue about wolf hunting – dialogue now remains if approached before 8 PM,

  • Blood Knight: had more physical defense points than intended (defense reduced by 100 points),

  • Defeating Jackie in the arena now correctly grants 250 experience points,

  • Jackal now correctly recognizes the player as an Old Camp member in Chapter 4+,

  • Hammer: Negotiator now has the missing model,

  • Scheme: Orc Blight – fixed display of required items for crafting,

General fixes for trophy books:

  • Correctly displays required skill level,

  • Skill can now be learned correctly if above level 1,

  • Specific books now correctly require Alchemy instead of trophies,

  • Added green and red colors for successful learning or unmet requirements,

  • Messages now appear above the book texture to be visible to the player,

  • Transition to Y’Berion’s focusing stones can now only be triggered once to prevent blocking,

  • Fortuno script improved for selling plants and fixed incorrect plant prices,

  • Alchemy: selecting to brew 5× mana potions from Mana Herb now correctly consumes 5 herbs (previously only 1×).

Monsters:

  • Base maximum health increased from 66 to 80 points,

  • Slightly reduced the number of golems in the game world,

  • Number of Vampires in the Fort changed to regular skeletons,

  • Orc elite no longer wears a helmet (visual change),

Weapons:

  • <Enhanced Scythe> now has bonus: physical defense +3,

Books:

  • Added missing books for Fire Mages, 5th and 6th circle,

Hero:

  • Starting stamina increased from 30 points to 60 points,

NPCs:

  • Several Water Mages received different versions of water robes (including Saturas),

  • Cayden: changed two rewards after returning the amulet,

  • Cayden: removed item “Hint to hideout” after quest completion,

Weapons:

  • Removed the weapon “Club,” which was only used by NPCs,

  • Removed yeti fur from the game world,

  • Added “Belt: Cobra Aspect” to the game,

  • Sword of Victory: Max HP increased from 25 to 35,

  • Staff of Flames:

    • Physical defense +7 → +5

    • Boosts received HP +10% → +15%

  • Staff of Power:

    • Magic resistance +7 → +5

  • Lord of Snakes:

    • Physical defense +15 → +10

  • Varied Wrath:

    • Critical chance in melee +4% → MP on hit +1

  • Hand of Blackhand:

    • MP on hit +1 → +2

MAGIC:

  • Learning cost for circles increased from 0 to 5,

FIRE MAGE:

  • Fire Projectile:

    • Base damage changed from 40 (+60% magic power) to 50 (+55% magic power),

  • Fireball:

    • Base damage changed from 120 (+80% magic power) to 150 (+75% magic power),

  • Firestorm:

    • Base damage changed from 80 (+60% magic power) to 100 (+50% magic power),

  • Rain of Fire:

    • Base damage changed from 500 (+75% magic power) to 500 (+70% magic power),

WATER MAGE:

  • Ice Projectile:

    • Base damage changed from 80 (+70% magic power) to 100 (+65% magic power),

  • Ball Lightning:

    • Base damage changed from 120 (+80% magic power) to 150 (+75% magic power),

GURU:

  • Pyrokinesis Projectile:

    • Base damage changed from 25 (+100% magic power) to 75 (+60% magic power),

  • Fist of the Wind:

    • Base damage changed from 120 (+100% magic power) to 150 (+70% magic power),

    • Mana cost increased from 12 to 15 points,

  • Storm Strike:

    • Base damage changed from 100 (+100% magic power) to 100 (+45% magic power),

  • Death Breath:

    • Base damage changed from 250 (+100% magic power) to 225 (+65% magic power),

    • Mana cost reduced from 40 to 30 points
