Gothic 1: The Damned Gets Czech AI Dubbing

Hi there! Gothic 1: The Damned is a small modification for Gothic 1 that takes place during the later chapters of the original game, letting you experience a new story with a new hero. We recently released this mod with a Czech AI translation, manually corrected by Ladina15. I then prepared and finalized everything, and later Marcel, who manages AI dubbing, created the voice-over for this mod.

That means you can now enjoy it fully in Czech — which fits perfectly, since this mod originally featured silent dialogues (no voice acting). We’re actually the first community to have created any kind of dubbing for this mod!

It’s worth noting that both the AI translations and dubbing aren’t perfect yet — but they’re constantly improving as we refine the process. The dubbing is generated by assigning voices and letting a script automatically produce the audio, just like we now do with AI translations. There’s not always enough time to manually check everything, so feel free to share your feedback — it helps us keep improving the scripts and results.
