Gothic 2: Other Story Mod – New Year’s Post and Screenshots

Another New Year’s post from the second Russian mod currently in development. Both of these mods are, you could say, heading in a similar direction (just like the “Against All Odds” mod). I’ll once again make a video about this mod soon, where I’ll summarize everything.

Good day, dear friends!

Usually, at the end of the year, it’s time to reflect, but we won’t be doing that this time for two reasons. First, we frequently share development progress in our news posts, and second, we want to keep some interesting information for next year. And rest assured, you won’t be disappointed :) In short – this year has been productive. Never before have we dedicated so much time to quest scripting, as a lot of material has accumulated over this period. The main thing is that this time passed without quarrels or disagreements within the team, and everyone is ready to continue working as before. Of course, there were also negative moments — those are inevitable — but they gave us reasons to think and learn from them.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get as many new people joining the team as we had hoped. This will, of course, affect the release date, but it is hard to say yet how seriously. Still, we hope that next year the team will grow with new people ready to work.

In the new year, we will continue development at the same pace and try not to slow down. What is also very important is that we are planning development diaries and gameplay showcases, because we truly have things to talk about and things to show. There are also plans for a separate video that will touch on certain topics regarding the project’s development. Hopefully, you won’t have to wait too long for it.

And for now, as a small gift, we would like to show you some covers from our composer Vasily, along with several images of familiar and not-so-familiar places that fit well with this time of year.
