Gothic 3: Armor And Weapon Rebuilt - Update 2.2

Global Update 2.2 (165+ new additions)

This time, every single outfit, armor, and NPC body texture has been reworked. In addition to improved textures, I wanted to adjust proportions and fix model attachment issues. It’s no secret that Piranha Bytes struggled with these aspects, and most players either overlooked or simply accepted them.


Of course, new helmets and a wide variety of weapons have also been added.

This modification is recommended to be used together with another newly created mod, which I’ll share right after this post — most likely tomorrow. So if you’re interested in playing with this update, it’s best to wait — I’ll upload and describe everything here. :)


Everything was translated from Russian using AI, so there may be a few small text errors.

📜 Graphical Details:

Slaves, slave girls, and stronger characters – new textures with functional reflections and normal maps.Townfolk, women, peasants, and LTM-style clothes – new textures.Capes (Fire Novice, Pirate, Wanderer, Bandit, Assassin–Scout, Mayor Elder) – redesigned models with smoother shoulder shapes and fewer angular edges.Female mercenary and rebel armors – new textures.

Reduced sleeve size, lowered shoulders, and new textures for:

  • Robe of the Rule of Innos

  • Robe of the High Fire Mage

  • Mantle of Adanos

  • Court Mage Robe

  • Dark Mage and Dead Priest Robes

The Enchanter’s Robe (similar to Xardas’) has a fixed shoulder shape.

Light armor / firm clothes with scarf – new textures, fixed overly high armpits.Medium armor – new textures, corrected shoulder folds.Warrior / Battle Mage armor – beautiful new textures, lowered collar, fixed belt.

Light armor – new texture, slimmer shape, smooth shoulders.Warrior armor – reduced collar, fixed model attachment, new textures.Dark Mage armor – smaller shoulders, new shape, new textures.Temple Warrior armor – emblem texture removed from the back, new textures.Zuben’s Robe – new texture.Fat merchants (including Gonzales) – new textures.Guards (purple cloth over shoulder) – new textures.Gladiator (similar to light Nordmar armor) – new texture, fixed model.

Royal Armor (in chest) – Robar’s armor without a cape, new texture, fixed model.Paladin Armor from Arcania – reduced proportions.Bandits – reworked armors inspired by Night of the Raven and Risen 1.Ruler of Varant armor – black texture, fixed model and size.Druid – slimmer body, new textures.Basic clothing for the Nameless Hero, Diego’s red jacket, rebel and pirate jackets – new textures, adjusted models and belts.

NPCs with unique armors also received updated textures – for example, Ramzi in Ardea, and improved sets in liberated cities.

  • Royal Helmet (crown with white cloth)

  • Steel Guard Helmet (kettle helm)

  • Knight Helmet (open and closed variants)

  • Guard Helmet (bascinet from Mordhau)

  • Steel Bascinet (from Dark Souls)

  • Paladin and First Paladin Helmets (tophelm from previous version)


🗡️ Weapons:

Completely new or reworked models for dozens of weapons – axes, swords, maces, morning stars, hammers, rapiers, and legendary items like Heart of Cold, Titan’s Wing, Dominator, and Ancient Two-Handed Sword, among others.

Bonus: a newly modeled wooden chest.

Bugs were also fixed for the Light Battle Axe, Oswald’s Sword, and Iron Two-Handed Sword.
