I’ve also added a small mod called noGRASSpatch to the list, which might be useful for people who can’t stand overly dense vegetation/grass in some mods or for those who need to boost their FPS. This patch works for Gothic 1, Gothic 2, and their mods. It was previously used in the mod Returning/New Balance, but now the functionality of this patch is directly available in the game’s menu, where you can adjust the intensity of grass and bushes all the way down to 0%. However, other mods don’t have this feature, and in some, the grass can be outright annoying.
In certain mods, the patch might not remove grass properly (e.g., Othello Mod), but it works for most mods.
You can find the mod in the list of mods. Since it’s very simple and doesn’t require much explanation, clicking the patch button will directly download it from the website. Inside the archive, you’ll find several versions of this patch with descriptions in a text file.
