Gothic 2: New Balance – New Map | Screenshots and Info!

Hello there, bringing you some fresh news — this time with several screenshots showing what the new map looks like. It’s currently in the works and will be released in a major update after the New Year, together with a new class and plenty of additional content. New Location – Island of the Ancients

As many of you have heard (even though it hasn’t been officially published anywhere), the story of the new expansion Warrior of Adanos will take place in a new standalone location.

How exactly will the story be connected to the Builders?

Together with Nepharius, the hero will find himself in a situation where he must explore a new area and search for answers to certain questions (no spoilers here).

Is it really an island?

Yes — it’s a tropical island. We’ll do our best to make it look beautiful. There will be separate posts showcasing models, texture sets, and more, complete with screenshots. The location will be tied to the Builders and to events of both the past and present.

What about the story itself?

The storyline is planned for chapters 2–3. Most likely, the finale will take place in chapter 3, because it definitely won’t be possible to wrap everything up in chapter 2.

How big is the location?

Hard to say precisely, but it will be larger than the Western Coast.

Will there be new monsters?

Some monsters will be reworked and recolored to have unique textures suitable for this climate. And if possible, completely new creatures will be added as well.

Will the location be accessible to other classes?

No, access will be available only through the Warrior of Adanos storyline (and for Water Mages as well).
