Gothic 2: New Balance - 4 Updates for the month of May

Hello, for the first time since I’ve been working on Myrtana and translations, we’ve had a longer delay regarding the Czech language in New Balance and updates to the new mod version. For this reason, I didn’t inform you about changes and updates, but I waited until everything was translated and the update was done. As I already mentioned on Discord and YouTube – in these new updates, a lot of new text lines had to be translated, so it took some time.
The new Czech version includes all previous updates, and we are now up to date again. If you find any broken text that I might have forgotten to translate, or any other errors – feel free to report them on Discord and I will fix everything.

Update 15.5.2025
- Fixed minor dialogue bugs
- Orcs in the orc arena can no longer be robbed
- Fixed a bug in the dialogue when learning runes from the Dark Knight
- Fixed a bug. The firefly in the old tower of Xardas (in the Mining Valley) now works
- Reworked the rune "Vitality Surge". It now restores 65% health and 50% endurance. It also provides endurance regeneration +2 for 2 minutes. The required mana has been changed, now it requires 150 mana. To learn the rune, you need 450 mana and 12 learning points
- "Woodcutter’s Axe" has been renamed to "Two-Handed Axe" to avoid confusion with its name
- The storm effect in Adanos' Desert now disappears immediately when turned off in the settings
- Fixed the invisibility effect when playing with DX11, the new version of DX11 changed things and the effect wasn't working properly
Update 12.5.2025
- Fixed a bug in the orc arena, now in 2+ combat, Ulu-Mulu can be removed (it broke in the previous patch)
- Reduced damage of the "Firestorm" spell, 5th circle of fire mage
Update 11.5.2025
- Citizens/Paladins no longer react to fights with unnamed NPCs in the port (workers, fishermen, beggars). A new game is required
- Increased the price of Serafis in gold
- Serafis’ regeneration bonus (over time) now depends on the difficulty. On Gothic difficulty, it is higher
- The Brotherhood’s loincloth now lies on the ground near Lester instead of being given via dialogue
- Minor dialogue fixes
- Fixed visual effect with fire rain
- Improved the orc arena. Now, even if the player forgets to put on Ulu-Mulu before the dialogue with the arena boss, the orcs will not attack immediately after the dialogue ends. (The first fight still needs to be done with Ulu-Mulu, without removing it)
- Beliar’s Wrath: Monsters no longer appear when the hero inspects chests
Update 8.5.2025
- Many text fixes in dialogues and quests
- Guild members of thieves now have facial animations during dialogues
- The "Guard of the Dead" shield’s texture has been replaced
- The scroll "Terrible Stench" now costs less gold
- Serafis now restores slightly less % of endurance
- Orcs no longer attack the hero in the Orc City when using light and healing spells. Also, when trying to cast combat magic, a warning will appear first, and only then will the orcs react
- Fixed the issue with handing sandworm teeth to Alfred
- Slightly sped up save loading time and transitions between locations (approximately 0.5-1 second faster in larger locations)
- Fixed the issue with Beliar’s Claw (dual wield), the left duel had the wrong 3D model
- Muritana’s Tooth now affects the damage of poisoned arrows (15% bonus)
- Fixed the bug after exiting Masyaf. Guards now appear only after the dialogue with Guru, and the stones blocking the entrance to Masyaf have been restored
- Improved the damage radius of explosive arrows/bolts. Slightly increased damage from arrows based on the hero's agility
- Fixed the issue with Kreol, now he can be killed normally (in chapter 5) and you get Learning Points for him
- Fixed the issue with the "Poison Resistance" potion, using the potion caused the green poison effect to flicker on the screen
- Fixed the start dialogues with Garrett and Samuel
- ASnC mod: Fixed the issue where hunting skill was given without reason for inspecting enemy loot
- Trial Road plugin: Fixed the issue with removing Night Bandits. They now disappear correctly
- Cursed Path: Familiar no longer works in the arena
- Cursed Path: Swamp Grass joints no longer affect the Cursed
- Cursed Path: Fixed bleeding on certain targets for the unarmed fighter
