Gothic 2: New Balance - Update + New Installer

Hi. New Balance has finally got a new installer. This happens roughly once every half year to a year, because if it's necessary to add or fix some textures, models, sounds, maps, and other things, they must be included in additional files that the installer installs. Regular small updates contain only scripts (which is the Czech language + game code).

There have been many questions about installation recently. New Balance was in open beta testing for the last few weeks, so the installation was temporarily done differently. Now we are going back and the installation is again like before, so you need to install the mod via the installer and then download the scripts and insert them into the game, and that's all (for Czech language, I recommend using our Czech language installer!).

So now you need to download the new installer from Google Drive and install it if you want to continue with the new updates! There is no need to delete the entire game and saves, and no need to start over; you only need to reinstall via the installer.

New Balance - Update 1.8.2025

1. Increased damage from falling from a great height (and decreased from a small height)

2. Fixed several places in the code that could potentially cause game crashes.

3. Fixed the amount of bread that appears in the Fregyala quest; now there is enough to complete the quest.

4. Improved skeleton archers' reaction to some guilds (new game).

5. Fixed stamina regeneration using the life totem.

6. Fixed a bug related to the amount of mana needed to summon the army of darkness in some situations.

7. Fixed boxer animation after using skill during active acrobatics.
