Current Situation
Greetings from the labor camp in North Korea (MyrtanaLand). Work is going well, and in about a week the first part of Myrtana 2.0 should be finished and released immediately. Because of that, I’ve temporarily paused mod updates and news posts to get it done faster.
If no complications arise, I should meet the stated deadline, and then we can gradually move on to the next parts of this large project.
Gothic Remake
The release has been announced for June 5th — you probably all know that already. In any case, I want to confirm that we will be covering Gothic Remake here as well. It will have its own place on the website, and we’ll be following updates and all modifications. On my YouTube channel, we’ll also be streaming and making videos about it.
We’ll approach it the same way we approach everything else — from a slightly different perspective than the official Czech community. We’ll mainly focus on modding, tools, mechanics, and potentially hardcore content. So yes, we’ll also be part of this major event — one that will outshine even Mr. Macinka’s cohabitation SMS messages (a Czech political joke).
Gothic Remake – Czech Translation and Czech AI Dubbing?
I’m in contact with Farlam, who will be leading the Czech translation, so we won’t be handling it directly. I’ve only offered a helping hand, and we’re waiting to see how we agree on things.
It’s possible that we’ll assist with the translation in some way. At the same time, we’re considering creating a Czech dub using AI, which we’ve recently pushed to a new level.
For now, nothing is officially confirmed — I’m just keeping you informed.
Activity on Discord
From time to time, someone writes on Discord asking for help. The issue is that most members of the Myrtana team are not constantly active or able to respond to every question. Some translate regularly, others have helped occasionally or will help when they can.
We don’t have a dedicated support team on Discord that would handle all technical questions.
In short: I handle pretty much everything around the project, plus streaming and YouTube, etc. Co-founder Marcel focuses on Czech AI dubbing and sometimes translation work. The rest of the team mainly consists of translators or guide creators who help when they can and work on translations in Excel.
Sometimes someone posts on Discord and doesn’t get a reply. Occasionally they leave frustrated — it happens with both Czech and international players. I apologize for that, but it’s simply not in my capacity to help everyone, especially with over a thousand people on Discord.
I used to handle common questions like “how do I set this up?” back when there were dozens or hundreds of people. At this scale, it’s no longer possible if I also want to keep creating new content.
On top of that, I’m an introvert and sometimes I genuinely need quiet time, or I’m just overloaded with work. So to anyone I don’t reply to — sorry. Most of the time I’m aware of it, and then I simply forget because new messages bury the old ones.
