Gothic 1: Othello Mod - Patch 4.0 Statement

Hello everyone! I have some good news about the progress.

As you may have noticed, I’ve added new missions for each camp in Chapter 2. Some of them will require specific skills. At the moment, the New Camp is finished. Now I’m focusing on completing the Old Camp. After that, I’ll work on finishing the rest of the new content for Chapter 2.


Then the testing phase will begin. In the meantime, some bugs have already been fixed:

  • After transformation, the hero’s stamina will now work correctly,

  • Further improvements to AI (ranged NPCs, mage NPCs),

  • Combat tactic AI improved,

The rest of the recent developer updates are locked for Patreon supporters only, but a preview of each post is still visible.


What else is coming:

  • New weapon models will appear in Othello,

  • The Lake Tavern is getting a remaster,

  • Code maintenance and optimization,

  • New vitality-related weapons added,

  • Terrain bugs fixed – it wasn’t a group AI issue,

  • New spell "Chest Unlocking" added,

  • New fire mage spells "Blaze" added (more spells coming for other mage paths),

  • The old Gothic vibe is coming back with iconic visual elements like the orc bridge support structure, and a dedicated music theme for the entire location...
