Gothic 2: Renovation - Version 4 Modification [v 0.4]

1. corrected a number of spelling errors in the dialogues;

- some incorrectly sounding sentences have been replaced with more correct ones.

2. Changed descriptions and rewards in several introductory tasks;

- some task descriptions now include a reward (this applies to those tasks that lead to the failure of some other task);

- some dialogues now have a note about their availability only in the current chapter.

3. Increased the damage of non-critical melee attacks - they now deal 20% damage on a failed melee attack instead of the vanilla 10%.

4. spell changes: replaced the visual of the Hand of God spell (secret rune from the library) - on another one that doesn't perform FpS, also increased the attack range of this spell;

- Changed animation of cast spells Vortex, Storm and Circle of Death - the animation has been sped up about 2-3 times;

- In addition, Whirlpool spell has increased direct damage, increased casting cost, increased learning cost and reduced water pressure damage; Storm and Circle of Death spells have reduced damage (due to increased casting speed);

- the casting cost of Thunderstrike has increased slightly (due to the additional effect of this spell);

- Slightly increased damage of offensive spells 1-3 circles;

- Charging runes like Lightning Ball have been changed from 4 charge cycles to 3 cycles - this makes them faster to cast (increased damage and mana consumption per cycle);

- minor errors in the description of some spells have been corrected and the description of many spells has been made more precise.

5. Slightly reduced crush protection for initial skeletons and goblin skeletons (summoned monsters remained with increased protection).

6. New items: for warrior classes, an amulet with discard protection has been added to the sale (from chapter 4, it protects against discard attacks from boars, shadow beasts, rotting zombies and dragon breath at short range), mages get such an amulet for free, but only in chapter 5;

- also added a number of useful items to Milten and Vatras on Irdorath.

7. Added a note with tips for easily killing a number of the initial monsters - in the chest on the ground floor of Xardas' tower.

8. A number of minor bonuses and changes: mana and health restores during the night with the Overself, Shadow Beast and Mine Worm aggro zone reduced, several new passhacks at

9. With Gratt's permission, the zNoFriendlyFire plugin (removes combat focus from friendly targets) will be included in the installer of the next version of the mod - it will be installed together with the mod - a separate file and with the possibility of manual removal, as well as other plugins in the mod.

10. A number of balance changes and adjustments, such as:

- Edgor the bandit will learn the skill Remove poison from sting for gold only (no OH),

- Reduction in the cost of learning the tanner craft from Matteo (in gold and VB),

- Rune Staff and Call of the Deep will also deal direct magic damage (150 and 75 magic damage respectively) when activating built-in spells,

- Pirates no longer die to crushing and slashing weapons,

- some NPCs have been dressed in more logical armor,

- many monsters' properties have been changed,

- people (including the main character) have had their fall damage reduced,

- the "Victim of Gehenna" staff has been strengthened,

- for Fire Mages, the Dragosaurus appears in Khorinis in Chapter 2, and Erol sells the Dragosaurus Horn (for the Ball Lightning rune), etc.

and so on.

11. Notes for mages have been added, describing the working conditions and limitations of magic staffs - Gorax will publish the note himself and Cronos has it available for free from his trade inventory.

12. Added a separate fight for the summoned golem - the golem will hit more often, in addition to countering enemy attacks.

13. Added magic rolls - thanks to Haart.

14. Summoned creatures are neutral to all human guilds except the bandit guild. Also, all humans will be neutral to summoned creatures - this allows you to freely walk around town with a few rune skeletons or a pack of summoned orcs. And for your summoner to start attacking the militia, for example, you have to attack the militia yourself or let the militia hit you.

15. Added a relatively-normally-functioning summon lifetime timer - the time is listed in the rune/summon description, the timer only activates when the summon is in combat (in a peaceful state the timer is not active), the timer is not affected by saving/starting/restarting in-game. The timer can be reset by summoning another monster, but the timer affects all summoned monsters at the same time.

16. Added mana regeneration belt for fire mage - on sale at Karras since chapter 2, only available to fire mage, costs a lot, regenerates 1 mana every 0.8 sec.

17. Mario will appear in chapter 3 - mercenary and dragon slayer will be able to learn strength up to 200 from him.

18. The fire lizards are now also sleeping (information about this is given in several book stalls and will be added to the diary after reading them).

19. Monsters that warn of an attack by growling will now warn twice (in previous versions of the mod it was 1 time, and in vanilla G2 NotR - 3 times, for example).

20. A few other minor changes:

- slightly increased the range of paladin runes cast,

- a few new textures for elite orcs,

- Slightly increased defense of initial summons,

- bugs/errors/fixes,

- a few adjustments to monster relationships,

- several new monster and weapon names.

etc.

21. Reduced the cost of learning mercenary ore swords.

22. Paladin swords and mercenary red swords have been strengthened.

23. Slightly changed the skills of mages.

24. Fixed a bug in gold mining (low skill mined more than high skill), also removed miss chance at max skill.

25. From chapter 1 onwards, it will be possible to hand over unique (non-quest) weapons to Gerbrandt.

26. Added the ability to sell guild armor - the armor of Novices/Mages, Militia and Mercenaries will be bought by the masters of the respective guilds (for example, for Militia it's Andre) - you can only sell upgraded armor in these guilds;

Knights' armor can also be sold to Bennet (as a blacksmith who is interested in his competitors' armor) and Dragonslayer armor can be bought by Harad (for a similar reason - to study it);

selling will only be possible if you have acquired cooler armor in your guild or have changed guilds (for example, a Dinibrabian has become a Paladin or a Novice has become a Mage).

27. Added a number of homemade hammers and smithing hammers for the Home Guard - creation is taught by Mortis the blacksmith (in the barracks). There are 3 one-handed hammers and 3 two-handed smithing hammers to learn, all requiring strength. The hammers/hammers are enchanted and activate certain additional effects when struck, for a total of 3 effects - Defeat, Armour and Bestiary.

28. Reduced prices of some items and skills - reduced the price of learning Archer's Aura and Raider's Sense, reduced the price of buying and upgrading Harad special weapons, etc.

29. Fixed a number of minor bugs, flaws and balance issues.

30. Added a number of katanas and nodachi for Dexterity - you can buy them and learn to forge them from Bennett, as of Chapter 2, Fire Mages cannot use these weapons. These are slashing weapons with a dexterity requirement and upgrade options. They scale from Strength, but the special skills of this weapon compensate for the scaling with their additional effects. You can make a total of 4 upgrades - they increase damage and requirements, and every other upgrade opens a new katana/nodachi special skill. Initially, 1 special skill will open (there will be 3 total special skills after all rebuilds).

31. Added several new passages in Jharkendar. There are also passhacks at the bottom of chasms, plus the ability to descend to the bottom (mostly using acrobatics) and get out using the new teleportation scrolls.

32. Added a few minor conveniences, like the ability to order 25 shrouds at a time from Edda, or the ability to saw 40 arrow/arrow blanks (after gaining the sawing skill), or a slight speed up in gold mining, or displaying a permanent bonus in Innos altars beforehand, and so on and so forth.

33. Added teleportation scrolls for chapters 1-2.

34. Runes that can be found in the world now do not require a magic circle. This applies to the runes Discharge, Light, Heal, and Summon Warrior, and for the Fire Mage, the Summon Statue rune (if you talk to Raven before combat). The Zombie Resurrection rune will still require a 4th round, however.

35. Changed/fixed the combat logic of some monsters - slightly changed the combat of trolls and shamans (making them more dangerous), zombies will no longer be distracted by dead animals, etc.

36. The chest on the first floor of Xardas Tower has been given a name and a small history, and its bonuses are now recorded in the journal. The bonuses themselves represent the ability to obtain certain scrolls after each dream.

37. Added a belt with a new skill for novice archers/attackers. With this skill, it will be possible to hang paralysis on an enemy (cast on hit, 1 per enemy in the current fight, lasts 20 sec but is removed by the next attack). It will come in handy in a fight with multiple enemies, either to make a primitive escape, or to escape and take a favorable shooting position. The belt is sold by Bosper and Kaled from the start, requiring only gold, well, and very little mana to trigger the skill.

8. Cardif, the owner of the Harbour Tavern, has added new useful information about blacksmiths. He'll tell you about all the smiths who teach how to forge new magical weapons or sell them. These include scythes/blood serpents, war hammers, dexterous sword/saber and katana/nodachi. Information will also be recorded in the journal.

39. A sneak attack from invisibility deals 50% more damage than a normal sneak attack.

40. Added point respawn to monsters in later chapters.

41. Fixed a number of bugs and errors.

42. Changed some names and descriptions, added new journal entries.
